Abstract | This hand drying device (1) includes: an airflow generating device (2) that has a device inlet (13); an inner case (3) that accommodates the airflow generating device (2) therein and has an inlet surface (3a) on which an inner inlet (7) is formed; and an outer case (4) that accommodates the inner case (3) and the airflow generating device (2) therein and on which an outer inlet (5) is formed. Inside the outer case (4), an inlet air duct (11) is formed which includes the inlet surface (3a) and an opposing surface (4a) as part of the wall surface thereof and which connects the outer inlet (5) and the device inlet (13). The opposing surface (4a) is provided with a projection (12) which projects from a region opposite the inner inlet (7) toward the inlet surface (3a) and which has a first surface (12a) that faces upstream in the inlet air duct (11).
