Determining a color value of an article of fabric includes obtaining, from a mobile device, a digital image of an article of fabric with a calibration card, calculating a fabric luminosity value for the article of fabric from the digital image, comparing the fabric luminosity value with calibration luminosity values to create a comparison, and determining, based on the comparison, a color value of the article of fabric. L'invention concerne des procédés et des systèmes pour déterminer la valeur chromatique d'un article de tissu. La détermination de la valeur chromatique d'un article de tissu consiste à obtenir, auprès d'un dispositif mobile, une image numérique d'un article de tissu avec une carte d'étalonnage, à calculer une valeur de luminosité de tissu pour l'article de tissu à partir de l'image numérique, à comparer la valeur de luminosité de tissu avec des valeurs de luminosité d'étalonnage pour établir une comparaison, et à déterminer, en se fondant sur la comparaison, la valeur chromatique de l'article de tissu.
