Abstract High-pressure high-temperature presses are commonly employed to create superhard materials used in such fields as road milling, mining and trenching, to breakup tough materials such as asphalt, concrete and rock. Many such presses comprise a plurality of piston assemblies that may act in concert to pressurize a cell. Such a cell may comprise a body with a plurality of canisters disposed therein and at least one unique heater element adjacent each of the canisters. Heat may be generated within such a press by forming an electrical circuit with the unique heater element and anvils surrounding the cell. L'invention concerne des presses haute pression et haute température couramment utilisées pour la production de matériaux extra-durs utilisés dans des domaines, tels que le fraisage routier, l'extraction souterraine et le creusement de tranchées, pour la désintégration de matériaux résistants, tels que l'asphalte, le béton et la roche.
