Abstract The present invention relates to the expression and optimisation of enzymes involved in the breakdown of lignocellulosic biomass. The present invention specifically relates to variants of the exoglucanase 2 of Trichoderma reesei, as well as to the use of said variants with improved efficiency in methods for breaking down cellulose and for producing biofuel. La présente invention porte sur l'expression et l'optimisation d'enzymes impliquées dans la dégradation de la biomasse lignocellulosique. La présente invention porte plus particulièrement sur des variants de l'exoglucanase 2 de Trichoderma reesei, ainsi que sur l'utilisation de ces variants à performance améliorée dans des procédés de dégradation de la cellulose et de production de biocarburant.
