Abstract The present invention relates to an antibacterial member that is characterized by being obtained by forming a coating film, which is formed from at least one substance selected from among Ni, Ni-P and Ni-Cr and has a thickness of 1 to 10 nm, on a transparent base by a vapor phase method.
