Abstract This frictional resistance reduction device for a ship is provided with: an air chamber (41) situated in the interior of the hull (10); a bottom outer panel (27) serving as a partition wall partitioning the air chamber (41) interior and the outside of the hull (10); an air outlet (42) provided to the bottom outer panel (27); and a first guide plate (51, 52) serving as a guide member, provided to the air outlet (42) at the side thereof lying towards the rear of the hull (10), whereby the effect of reducing the frictional resistance can be improved.
