Abstract This system for separating and recovering carbon dioxide is provided with: an adsorption tower (2) which adsorbs carbon dioxide in a gas to be processed by means of an adsorbent, and discharges the processed gas from which the carbon dioxide is removed, while also discharging the adsorbent on which the carbon dioxide is adsorbed; a regeneration tower (3) which receives the adsorbent discharged from the adsorption tower (2) and discharges the adsorbent after having the carbon dioxide desorbed from the adsorbent by having water vapor for desorption condense in the adsorbent; and a drying tower (4) which receives the adsorbent discharged from the regeneration tower (3) and has the condensed water in the adsorbent evaporate in the form of water vapor by means of a gas for drying, and discharges the adsorbent, which has been dried until the moisture content of which is at a predetermined value that is not less than the limiting moisture content thereof.
