Abstract The purpose of this invention is to allow a precise subject distance to be acquired and a high quality image to be acquired. Provided is an imaging device (1) comprising an imaging lens (4) that focuses light from a subject (A), an aperture member (5) disposed adjacent to the imaging lens (4), an imaging element (7) to make an image of the light that is focused by the imaging lens (4) and passes through the aperture member (5), and a micro lens array (6) that is disposed between the imaging element (7) and imaging lens (4) with a gap in the optical axis direction, wherein the aperture member (5) comprises at least one normal aperture having a substantially circular opening and at least two coded apertures having a prescribed pattern opening.
