The present disclosure relates to a method of an energy management gateway (101) scheduling a plurality of electrical loads (103), the method comprising: categorizing each of the plurality of electrical loads as either a constant load or a sporadic load; and scheduling each of the plurality of loads differently based on whether the load has been categorized as a constant load or a sporadic load; wherein the constant load(s) are scheduled based on information obtained from an external service provider (102) and/or on information inputted by a user via a user interface (204) of the gateway; and wherein the sporadic load(s) are scheduled based on information obtained from an external service provider and/or on information inputted by a user via a user interface of the gateway. La présente invention porte sur un procédé d'une passerelle de gestion d'énergie (101) planifiant une pluralité de charges électriques (103), le procédé comprenant : le classement par catégories de chaque charge électrique de la pluralité de charges électriques soit en tant que charge constante ou soit en tant que charge sporadique; et la planification de chaque charge de la pluralité de charges différemment sur la base du point de savoir si la charge a été classée en tant que charge constante ou en tant que charge sporadique; la ou les charges constantes étant planifiées sur la base d'informations obtenues à partir d'un fournisseur de service externe (102) et/ou d'informations injectées par un utilisateur par l'intermédiaire d'une interface utilisateur (204) de la passerelle; et la ou les charges sporadiques étant planifiées sur la base d'informations obtenues à partir d'un fournisseur de service externe et/ou d'informations injectées par un utilisateur par l'intermédiaire d'une interface utilisateur de la passerelle.
