Abstract The present invention relates to the field of modifying flowering time, fruiting and seed setting in members of the palm family. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for control and optimization of Palmae flowering time, fruiting and seed production by manipulating one gene from oil palm. The present invention can be used in various palm breeding efforts. La présente invention concerne le domaine de la modification de la période de floraison, de production de fruits et de grenaison parmi les membres de la famille du palmier. Plus spécifiquement, la présente invention concerne un procédé pour le contrôle et l'optimisation de la période de floraison, de la production de fruits et de la grenaison des palmacées par manipulation d'un gène provenant de palmier à huile. La présente invention peut être utilisée dans divers essais de reproduction de palmier.
