L'invention concerne un rouleau (40) support utilisé pour supprimer le retrait dans le sens de la largeur (direction Y) d'un ruban (G) en verre fondu en forme de bande, présentant dans la section d'extrémité un élément (50) rotatif qui entre en contact avec le ruban (G) de verre fondu. L'élément (50) rotatif ne comporte pas de circuit de refroidissement interne et est fabriqué en matériau céramique.
