Abstract | This power supply device (2), which supplies electric power in a non-contact manner to a power-receiving device (4), is provided with: a substrate (42); a primary coil (44) that is positioned on the substrate (42), and generates flux by means of an alternating current; a cover (40) that is attached to the substrate (42), and covers the primary coil (44); and a capacitance sensor (14) that detects an object that is present on the cover (40). Since the capacitance sensor (14), which is capable of detecting the object that is present on the cover (40), is provided, a foreign object between the primary coil (44) and a secondary coil belonging to the power-receiving device (4) can be reliably detected.
