Abstract Provided is a back-surface illuminated imaging device provided with phase difference pixels. Photodiodes (PD (21)) that accumulate signal charges, which are photoelectric conversions of incident light, are formed in a plurality of arrays on a light receiving layer (14), and a wiring layer (13) provided with electrodes (22) and wirings (23) that control the PDs (21) is formed to the rear of the light receiving layer (14) in the direction the incident light progresses. Inclined surfaces (29a, 29b) in which the directions of inclination form a symmetrical pair are provided, and a textured structure (28) in which these inclined surfaces (29a, 29b) are made to correspond to the PDs (21) is formed in the light receiving layer (14). The inclined surfaces (29a, 29b) make incident light having intensity corresponding to the angle of incidence incident to the PDs (21).
