Abstract | A device (12) and method of use, adapted to receive one or more gastric bands (16) and adapted to be coupled to a surgical instrument such as an endoscope (22), comprises a tubular main body (14) and a cap (18) comprising an opening (20) through which a guidewire (32) may be threaded. A triggering wire (34) may be detachably coupled to one or more bands (16) to permit remote removal of said bands (16). The bands (16) may be improved bands (16) comprising gripping points (164), an inner reinforcement ring (161), or an expanded surface (165,166) area portion.
L'invention concerne un dispositif (12) et son procédé d'utilisation. Le dispositif (12) est conçu pour recevoir un ou plusieurs anneaux gastriques (16) et pour s'accoupler avec un instrument chirurgical tel qu'un endoscope (22), et comporte un corps principal tubulaire (14) et un capuchon (18) qui comporte une ouverture (20) à travers laquelle un fil-guide (32) peut être enfilé. Un fil de déclenchement (34) peut être accouplé de manière détachable à un ou à plusieurs anneaux (16) pour permettre de retirer à distance lesdits anneaux (16).
