Abstract Provided is a process for thermoforming a gas and liquid permeable layer of thermoplastic material (12, 32) having an average thickness of less than 0.50 mm, the process comprising the steps of bringing the layer into contact with a layer of deformable non-gas permeable material (10, 30) to form a separable laminate of the two materials, arranging for the thermoplastic material to be at a thermoformable temperature and thermoforming the separable laminate, thereby thermoforming the thermoplastic material. L'invention porte sur un procédé pour thermoformer une couche de matériau thermoplastique perméable aux gaz et aux liquides (12, 32) ayant une épaisseur moyenne inférieure à 0,50 mm, lequel procédé comprend les étapes consistant à amener la couche en contact avec une couche de matériau non perméable aux gaz déformable (10, 30) de façon à former un stratifié séparable des deux matériaux, à faire en sorte que le matériau thermoplastique soit à une température thermoformable et à thermoformer le stratifié séparable, de façon à thermoformer ainsi le matériau thermoplastique.
