METHOD OF PROCESSING PRESENCE STREAMS IN AN SIP NETWORK

When a user A belonging to a first SIP network (1) has asked to be notified of the changes of the state of presence of a corresponding party B external to said first SIP network (1) and identified by a tel-URI containing his telephone number, the method according to the invention comprises the following steps: identification, in a database contained in an RLS server (27) of the first SIP network (1) or associated with said RLS server (27), of a presumed SIP-URI of said corresponding party B stored in the guise of an alias of said tel-URI; and sending to a second SIP network (2) containing said presumed SIP-URI of a request for subscription to the state of presence of the corresponding party B. Said alias was obtained previously by means of the following steps: discovery of the SIP-URI of the corresponding party B by means of said tel-URI of the corresponding party B; and storage in said database of this SIP-URI in the guise of an alias of the tel-URI of the corresponding party B. Application to IMS networks. Lorsqu'un utilisateur A appartenant un premier réseau SIP (1) a demandé à être notifié des changements de l'état de Présence d'un correspondant B externe audit premier réseau SIP (1) et identifié par une tel-URI contenant son numéro de téléphone, le procédé selon l'invention comprend les tapes suivantes : identification, dans une base de donnes contenue dans un serveur RLS (27) du premier réseau SIP (1) ou associe audit serveur RLS (27), dune SIP-URI présume dudit correspondant B stocke en tant qu'alias de ladite tel-URI; et envoi un deuxième réseau SIP (2) contenant ladite SIP-URI présume dune requête de souscription l'état de Présence du correspondant B. Ledit alias a t obtenu préalablement au moyen des tapes suivantes : découverte de la SIP-URI du correspondant B au moyen de ladite tel-URI du correspondant B; et stockage dans ladite base de donnes de cette SIP-URI en tant qu'alias de la tel-URI du correspondant B.
