Abstract | The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a duplex stainless steel wire product starting from wire rod, the method comprising the following steps: roughening the wire rod surface; applying a carrier coating on the wire rod surface; peeling the wire rod using a shaving die comprising cemented carbide; roughening the wire rod surface; applying a carrier coating on the wire rod surface; and drawing to final wire dimension. In the peeling step, the shaving die used has a rake face land angle ? which is 10-30°, a rake angle ? which is 10-25°, a clearance angle a which is 3-10°, a rake face land width w which is 0.1-0.5 mm, and an edge radius which is 0.02-0.08 mm. The duplex stainless steel wire product manufactured according to the method exhibits excellent fatigue resistance.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un fil d'acier inoxydable duplex à partir d'un fil machine, le procédé comprenant les étapes suivantes: la rugosification de la surface du fil machine; l'application d'un revêtement support sur la surface du fil machine; l'écroûtage du fil machine au moyen d'une filière écroûteuse comportant du carbure cimenté; la rugosification de la surface du fil machine; l'application d'un revêtement support sur la surface du fil machine; et l'étirage jusqu'à une dimension de fil finale. Lors de l'étape d'écroûtage, la filière écroûteuse utilisée présente un angle de dépouille de face de coupe ? compris entre 10 et 30°, un angle d'inclinaison ? compris entre 10 et 25°, un angle de dégagement a compris entre 3 et 10°, une largeur de dépouille de face de coupe w de l'ordre de 0,1 à 0,5 mm, et un rayon d'arête de l'ordre de 0,02 à 0,08 mm.
