Summary:There are included a stream dividing unit that divides respective pictures included in an encoded stream into a plurality of MB lines and allocates the plurality of MB lines to a part of any one of four divided streams to be generated, thereby generating the four divided streams; and four decoding engines that decode the respective streams of the four divided streams in parallel.  When the slices included in each picture are divided into a plurality of slice portions and allocated to a plurality of divided streams, the stream dividing unit reconstructs slice portion groups, as new slices, for the respective divided streams such that the slice portion groups, each of which comprises at least one slice portion allocated to the divided stream, are recognized as slices by the decoding engines. L'invention concerne un module de division de flux qui divise des images respectives incluses dans un flux codé en une pluralité de lignes MB et les attribue à une partie de l'un des quatre flux divisés à générer, ce qui génère les quatre flux divisés ; et quatre moteurs de décodage qui décodent les flux respectifs des quatre flux divisés en parallèle. Lorsque les tranches incluses dans chaque image sont divisées en une pluralité de portions de tranche et sont attribuées à une pluralité de flux divisés, le module de division de flux reconstruit des groupes de portions de tranches, en tant que nouvelles tranches, pour les flux divisés respectifs, de telle manière que les groupes de portions de tranches, dont chacun comporte au moins une portion de tranche attribuée au flux divisé, soient reconnus comme des tranches par les moteurs de décodage.
