Abstract | An insect capturing device (10) has an attracting means (11) for attracting insects, an insect capturing sheet (12) advanced to a position near the attracting means (11), and a holding means (15) for permitting the advance of the insect capturing sheet (12) and holding the insect capturing sheet (12). The insect capturing sheet (12) has a band-like base material sheet (12A) and an adhesive agent layer (12B) layered on one side of the base material sheet (12B) and is wrapped around a tubular body (25). Side plates (26) and fixing means (27) for fixing the side plates (26) are arranged on axial opposite sides of the tubular body (25). The holding means (15) includes a supporting shaft (32) insertable through the tubular body (25). A stopper (36) is mounted to the head side of the supporting shaft (32). The stopper (36) is mounted so as to be in contact with the fixing means (27) to restrict the movement of the tubular body (25) in the direction in which the tubular body comes out of the supporting shaft (32).
