Abstract Provided is a dielectric resonator having simple constitution applicable to multiple mode with no electrical signal transmission loss. A method for controlling a resonance state (coupling mode) of the dielectric resonator is also provided. The dielectric resonator is provided with a cylindrical or polygonal external conductor, and a dielectric resonant element arranged at substantially the center of the external conductor. The resonance state of the dielectric resonator is controlled by forming a notched section at a part of the dielectric resonant element. L'invention concerne un résonateur diélectrique ayant une constitution simple applicable à un mode multiple sans perte de transmission de signal électrique. L'invention concerne également un procédé pour commander un état de résonance (mode de couplage) du résonateur diélectrique. Le résonateur diélectrique comprend un conducteur externe cylindrique ou polygonal, et un élément résonant diélectrique agencé sensiblement au centre du conducteur externe. L'état de résonance du résonateur diélectrique est commandé par formation d'une section encochée au niveau d'une partie de l'élément résonant diélectrique.
