Abstract | The subject matter herein relates to a solid state temperature regulation system (19). Solid state heating and cooling elements, such as thermoelectric cooling elements and positive temperature coefficient heating elements, have been used apart from each other in many prior devices. These prior art systems heat up slowly and can overheat. The present invention is a thermoelectric cooling element (20) and a positive temperature coefficient heating element (22) that are integrated into a single package. A heat sink (26) is shared between the thermoelectric cooling element and the positive temperature coefficient heating element. This combination results in a temperature regulation system that heats up more quickly and has more heating power. One use for such a temperature regulation system is in a seat cushion.

Des éléments chauffants et de refroidissement solides, par exemple des éléments de refroidissement thermoélectriques et des éléments chauffants à coefficient de température positif, sont utilisés de manière séparée dans de nombreux dispositifs existants.
