Abstract The present invention relates to a cell culture medium comprising (a) an inhibitor of bone morphogenetic protein-4 (BMP-4) and (b) an inhibitor of pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF, also known as SerpinF1). In one embodiment, the inhibitors are antibodies against BMP-4 and PEDF, respectively. The medium allows to culture keratinocytes under non-differentiating conditions. The invention also relates to corresponding methods and kits. As the media and methods disclosed allow for an improved manufacture of keratinocytes, the invention also relates to the treatment of skin wounds and to the manufacture of corresponding medicaments. This will be of advantage for treatment e.g. of burns, ulcers, etc., in which transplantation of keratinocytes or skin is required. La présente invention concerne un milieu de culture cellulaire comprenant (a) un inhibiteur de la protéine-4 morphogénétique osseuse (BMP-4) et (b) un inhibiteur du facteur issu de l'épithélium pigmentaire (PEDF, également connu sous le nom de SerpinF1). Dans un mode de réalisation, les inhibiteurs sont des anticorps dirigés respectivement contre BMP-4 et PEDF. Le milieu permet de cultiver des kératinocytes dans des conditions sans différenciation. L'invention concerne également des procédés et les coffrets correspondants. Étant donné que les milieux et procédés décrits permettent une fabrication améliorée de kératinocytes, l'invention concerne également le traitement de lésions cutanées et la fabrication de médicaments correspondants. Ceci sera avantageux pour le traitement, par exemple, de brûlures, d'ulcères, etc., dans lesquels une transplantation de kératinocytes ou de peau est nécessaire.
