Pharmaceutical composition comprising pantoprazole as the active ingredient. The pantoprazole is present in the form of particles having an average particle size within the range of 60 µm to 250 µm. Pantoprazole having an average particle size within the range of 60 µm to 250 µm is prepared by a process comprising the steps of wetting pantoprazole with water having a pH of 10 to 12 in a high shear mixer, passing the wet pantoprazole through a sieve having a mesh size of 0.8 to 2 mm, and drying the mass in a fluid bed dryer . La présente invention concerne une préparation pharmaceutique comprenant du pantoprazole au titre de principe actif. Le pantoprazole est présent sous forme de particules de granulométrie moyenne comprise entre 60 µm et 250 µm. Le pantoprazole de granulométrie moyenne comprise entre 60 µm et 250 µm est préparé suivant un procédé comprenant les étapes de mouillage du pantoprazole avec de l'eau dont le pH est compris entre 10 et 12 dans un mélangeur à vitesse de cisaillement élevée, le tamisage du pantoprazole humide au travers d'un tamis de mesh 0,8-2 mm, et le séchage de la masse obtenue dans un séchoir à lit fluidisé.
