When the services offered by an AP matches the services designated in the stored service profile, the MT associates with that particular AP. L'invention concerne un LAN sans fil fournissant un accès à un terminal mobile (MT) au moyen de trames de balisage pour diffuser des informations spécifiques à un service de point d'accès (AP). Le MT écoute les trames de balisage et compare le ou les services de diffusion et les paramètres de service à un profil de service prédéterminé stocké dans le MT. Lorsque les services offerts par un AP correspondent au service défini dans le profil de service stocké, le MT s'associe à ce AP particulier.
