Abstract | A catcher device (10) is provided for a continuous ink jet printer of the kind for generating a row of parallel selectively charged drop streams catches charged ink drops. The catcher device combines the attributes of two different materials, specifically a polymer and a metal, and two different processes, to eliminate high cost, material limitations, and geometry constraints associated with prior art catcher constructions.
L'invention concerne un collecteur (10) destiné à une imprimante à jet d'encre en continu du type qui permet de produire une rangée parallèle de collecte de flux de gouttes chargées de manière sélective de gouttes d'encre chargées. Le collecteur allie les attributs de deux différents matériaux, notamment un polymère et un métal, et deux différents traitements en vue d'éliminer les limitations de matériau dues au coût élevé et des contraintes géométriques associées aux constructions du collecteur de l'art antérieur. |
