Abstract | A glass capable of being machined by means of a laser through the ablation or evaporation by the laser beam energy absorbed, characterized in that it has a composition satisfying the following requirements: 60 <= SIO2 + B2O3 <= 79 mol %, 5 <= AL2O3 + TiO2 <= 20 mol % and 5 <= LI2O + Na2O + K2O + Rb2O + Cs2O + MgO + CaO + SrO + BaO <= 20 mol %, with the proviso that 5 <= TIO2 <= 20 mol %. The glass capable of being machined by a laser exhibits a lowered threshold value for laser machining and also a reduced thermal expansion coefficient.
L'invention concerne un verre pouvant être usiné au moyen d'un laser, par ablation ou évaporation produite par l'énergie absorbée du faisceau laser, et qui est caractérisé en ce qu'il répond aux conditions suivantes : 60 </= SIO2 + B2O3 </= 79 % molaire, 5 </= AL2O3 + TiO2 </= 20 % molaire et 5 </= LI2O + Na2O + K2O + Rb2O + Cs2O + MgO + CaO + SrO + BaO </= 20 % molaire, à condition que 5 </= TiO2 </= 20 % molaire.
