Abstract A device for manufacturing a sheet glass capable of molding the sheet glass by pulling downward a glass ribbon (GR) formed by a molding body (12), comprising the molding body (12) having a body with a cross sectional shape converging downward and integrally forming molten glass flowing down on both surfaces thereof in a ribbon shape at the converged lower end edge part and side end members installed on both side ends of the body for restricting the width of the molten glass, wherein a non-contact support member (14) having a gas thin layer formed on the support surface thereof is installed near the lower end edge part of the body to support the glass ribbon (GR) at no-contact by the non-contact support member (14) through the entire width thereof while the glass ribbon (GR) is being pulled downward. L'invention concerne un dispositif de fabrication d'une feuille de verre permettant de mouler la feuille de verre par traction vers le bas d'un ruban de verre (GR) formé au moyen d'un corps de moulage (12), ce corps de moulage (12) possédant un corps à forme en section transversale convergeant vers le bas et formé intégralement de verre fondu s'écoulant sur les deux surfaces de celui-ci en forme de ruban au niveau de la partie de bord d'extrémité inférieure convergeante et des éléments d'extrémité latéraux placés au niveau des deux extrémités du corps en vue de limiter la largeur du verre fondu, un élément de support sans contact (14) revêtu d'une couche mince de gaz formée sur la surface du support de celui-ci et installé à proximité de la partie de bord d'extrémité inférieure du corps en vue de supporter le ruban de verre (GR) sans contact au moyen de l'élément de support sans contact (14) sur toute la largeur de celui-ci pendant que le ruban de verre (GR) est étiré vers le bas.
