Abstract A deodorant material which can be used semipermanently and exhibits a satisfactory mechanical strength in ordinary use, and a process for producing the same. The deodorant material is obtained by dispersing a mesoporous clay mineral, a gypsum, a mineral having a pore diameter larger than that of the gypsum and a white inorganic filler together and molding the dispersion. L'invention concerne une matière déodorante pouvant être utilisée de façon semi-permanente et présentant une tenue mécanique satisfaisante lors d'une utilisation normale, et un procédé de production correspondant. La matière déodorante est obtenue par dispersion d'un minéral argileux mésoporeux, d'un gypse, d'un minéral possédant un diamètre des pores supérieur à celui du gypse et d'un remplisseur minéral blanc ensemble, et par moulage de cette dispersion.
