Abstract | Methods are disclosed for conferring nematode resistance to plants comprising transforming a plant with a polynucleotide operatively linked to a promoter induced by nematode infection wherein expression of the polynucleotide results in suppression of FGAM synthase activity. Also disclosed are vectors, host cells and plants containing recombinant polynucleotides comprising a nematode infection inducible promoter operatively linked to a polynucleotide wherein expression of the polynucleotide results in suppression of FGAM synthase activity.
L'invention concerne des procédés permettant de conférer une résistance aux nématodes à des plantes, comprenant la transformation d'une plante au moyen d'un polynucléotide en liaison fonctionnelle avec un promoteur induit par une nématodose, l'expression du polynucléotide donnant lieu à la suppression de l'activité de la FGAM synthase.
