Abstract The crystal structure of FGF9 has been determined and is shown to exist in a tetragonal space group I41 with lattice constants a = 151.9 ANGSTROM and c = 117.2 ANGSTROM . The crystal may be refined to an R value of R = 22.0 % at 2.6 ANGSTROM resolution. The crystal may be used in drug screening assays. A three-dimensional model of FGF9 is also disclosed, as is a three-dimensional computer image of the three-dimensional structure of FGF9, computer-readable data storage medium encoded with computer-readable data corresponding to the three-dimensional computer image, as well as computers for producing such a three-dimensional representation.
