Abstract This invention relates to a process for producing an alkyl alkanoate, said process comprising: introducing an olefin and a carboxylic acid into a reactor containing an acid catalyst, reacting said olefin with said carboxylic acid in the presence of an acid catalyst, so as to produce a product stream comprising an alkyl alkanoate and an aldehyde and/or ketone impurity, contacting said product stream with hydrogen in the presence of a selective hydrogenation catalyst, so as to selectively reduce the aldehyde and/or ketone impurity to its corresponding alcohol, and separating the corresponding alcohol from the remainder of the product stream. L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire un alkyle-alkanoate. Ce procédé consiste : à introduire une oléfine et un acide carboxylique dans un réacteur contenant un catalyseur acide, à faire réagir l'oléfine avec l'acide carboxylique en présence d'un catalyseur acide afin d'obtenir un flux de produit comprenant un alkyle-alkanoate et une impureté aldéhyde et/ou cétone, à mettre le flux de produit en contact avec de l'hydrogène en présence d'un catalyseur d'hydrogénation afin de réduire de manière sélective l'impureté aldéhyde et/ou cétone en son alcool correspondant, enfin à séparer l'alcool correspondant du reste du flux de produit.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire un alkyle-alkanoate. Ce procédé consiste : à introduire une oléfine et un acide carboxylique dans un réacteur contenant un catalyseur acide, à faire réagir l'oléfine avec l'acide carboxylique en présence d'un catalyseur acide afin d'obtenir un flux de produit comprenant un alkyle-alkanoate et une impureté aldéhyde et/ou cétone, à mettre le flux de produit en contact avec de l'hydrogène en présence d'un catalyseur d'hydrogénation afin de réduire de manière sélective l'impureté aldéhyde et/ou cétone en son alcool correspondant, enfin à séparer l'alcool correspondant du reste du flux de produit.
