Abstract | A power supply unit for electrodischarge machining applies voltage of positive and negative polarities across a gap between an electrode (1) and a workpiece (2). The power supply comprises control means (8) that applies first voltage pulses across the gap for a period (T1), waits a period (t) after the period (T1) so as to prevent switching means from damage, and applies second voltage pulses of the polarity opposite to the first voltage pulses for a period (T2a) until the voltage across the gap reaches a predetermined voltage below the voltage (Va) at which a discharge begins. Since the remaining voltage across the gap is thus removed quickly, steady and quality machining can be carried out.
Une alimentation électrique pour usinage par étincelage applique une tension à polarités positive et négative dans un intervalle entre une électrode (1) et une pièce (2). L'alimentation électrique comprend un organe de commande (8) qui envoie des impulsions d'une première tension dans l'intervalle sur une durée (T1), et attend ensuite une durée (t) de façon à protéger le commutateur de certains dommages, et envoie les impulsions d'une seconde tension de polarité opposée aux impulsions de la première tension sur une durée (T2a) jusqu'à ce que la tension dans l'intervalle atteigne un niveau prédéterminé inférieur à la tension (Va) à laquelle commence la décharge.
