Abstract | An apparatus and method according to the invention utilizes a radiation source (20) and processor (44) to combine more than one optical modality (spectroscopic method), including but not limited to fluorescence, absorption, reflectance, polarization anisotropy, and phase modulation, to decouple morphological and biochemical changes associated with tissue changes due to disease, and thus to provide an accurate diagnosis for tissue condition.
Un appareil et procédé selon l'invention utilise une source de rayonnement (20) ainsi qu'un processeur (44) pour combiner plus d'une modalité optique (procédé spectroscopique), notamment, de façon non exhaustive, la fluorescence, l'absorption, la réflectance, l'anisotropie de polarisation ainsi que la modulation de phase, pour découpler les changements morphologiques et biochimiques associés à des changements tissulaires dus à des maladies, et ainsi pour former un diagnostic précis de l'état de tissus. |
