A tape printer so designed that the tape cartridge removing function based on an ejection mechanism and the tape cartridge supporting function based on a cartridge mounting section are separated by a simple construction, comprising a cartridge mounting section for mounting and dismounting of a tape cartridge, and an ejection mechanism for raising the tape cartridge mounted from the cartridge mounting section, wherein the bottom of the cartridge mounting section is formed with a seat on which a mounted tape cartridge is seated and the push-up plate of the ejection mechanism for floating the tape cartridge is positioned below the level of the seat in the stand-by state. This arrangement makes it possible to separate the tape cartridge removing function based on the ejection mechanism from the tape cartridge supporting function based on the cartridge mounting section and to prevent the ejection mechanism from exerting adverse effects on printing. La présente invention concerne une imprimante sur bandes conçue de façon à ce que la fonction de retrait de cartouche de bande basée sur un mécanisme d'éjection et la fonction de support de cartouche de bande basée sur une partie de montage de cartouche soient séparées par une construction simple, comprenant une partie de montage de cartouche utilisée pour monter et démonter une cartouche de bande, et un mécanisme d'éjection pour élever la cartouche de bande montée sur la partie de montage de cartouche.
