Abstract A toner including a binder resin, a colorant and a release agent, and satisfying the following relationships (1) and (2): 1.0FT120/FT160 wherein FT120 is a maximum tensile strength (N) when a recording medium having the toner unfixed on is vertically separated from the surface of a substrate having a temperature of 120° C. at a constant speed after pressed thereto at a pressure of 100 kPa, and FT160 is same except that the substrate has a temperature of 160° C.; 1.0<=FP100/FP200 wherein FP100 is a maximum tensile strength (N) when a recording medium having the toner unfixed on is vertically separated from the surface of a substrate having a temperature of 160° C. at a constant speed after pressed thereto at a pressure of 100 kPa, and FP200 is same except that the pressure is 200 kPa.
