Summary:This invention pertains to a retractable wing keel for sailboats. A keel member is movably attached to the bottom of the sailboat, and a wing member is attached to the bottom of the keel member. In a first embodiment, the keel member is pivotally attached to the bottom of the sailboat and the wing member is pivotally attached to the bottom of the keel member. In a second embodiment, the keel member is slidably attached to the bottom of the sailboat and the wing member is fixedly attached to the bottom of the keel member.
