Compositions and methods for the prevention of asthmatic symptoms

There are disclosed compositions containing a number of benzodipyrons, e.g. 4,10-dioxo-2,8-dicarboxy-5-methoxy-4H,10H-benzo(1,2-b:3,4-b') dipyran, and the use of these benzodipyrones in the treatment of conditions in which antigen reactions are responsible for the conditions.
