Summary:1362392 Bearings TEXTRON Inc 6 July 1971 [1 Dec 1970] 58090/73 Divided out of 1362391 Heading F2A A bearing comprises an inner member 10 and an outer member 11 circumferentially surrounding the inner member, the outer member having a bearing lining 12 of circumferentially continuous fibres which extend at an acute angle to the bearing axis at least some of the fibres being of low friction material and a backing including circumferentially continuous reinforcing fibres. The lining may include nylon and PTFE fibres and the fibres of both lining and backing may be consolidated in a cured hardenable resin. The backing may be of glass fibres and the resin may be an epoxy or phenolic resin.
