Abstract A training method is executed by a learning device to train a search model for searching a lay-up pattern of a laminate formed by laminating fiber sheets that are unidirectional materials in which alignment directions of fibers are one direction. The search model is a learning model that includes a constraint condition related to lay-ups of the fiber sheets and in which a policy function and a value function are used. The method includes: acquiring an initial lay-up pattern that is the lay-up pattern in an initial state; and training the search model such that the lay-up pattern satisfies the constraint condition, using the initial lay-up pattern as an input.
