In one or more exemplary embodiments, the functions or processes comprise virtual machines (VMs), and the methods and apparatus provide improved efficiency and reduced latency for such VM migrations between a first virtualized environment (e.g., a virtual configuration space or VDI) and a second virtualized environment by, e.g., enabling the first and second virtualized environments to operate simultaneously, for at least a period of time.
