Abstract | A charging roll includes a shaft body, an elastic body layer formed on an outer circumferential surface of the shaft body, and a surface layer formed on an outer circumferential surface of the elastic body layer. The elastic body layer includes silicone rubber. A plurality of large protruding parts having a width of 13-48 μm and a height of 5-13 μm are provided on the outer circumferential surface of the elastic body layer, and a plurality of small protruding parts forming unevenness having a ten-point average roughness Rz of 1.0-6.0μm are provided on the surface of the large protruding parts. The surface layer contains a urethane polymer, and the elongation at breakage of the surface layer is 285-525%. |
