Summary:A system includes a memory storing computer-readable instructions and at least one processor to execute the instructions to receive from a client computing device a first unique identifier that was obtained by scanning a near field communication (NFC) tag associated with an item, receive from the client computing device a second unique identifier that was obtained by scanning a quick response (QR) code using an imaging device, compare the first unique identifier with the second unique identifier, and associate the item with a particular user account when the first unique identifier matches the second unique identifier.
