Summary:A host communicating with a key-value storage device includes a host memory that stores a computer program, and a host controller including a processor configured to execute the computer program. The computer program is configured to process a file or a directory related to file data received by an application stored in the host, and provide the file or the directory to the key-value storage device, map the file or the directory to a key-value object storable in the key-value storage device, translate a file operation requested by the application stored in the host into a key-value operation that is performable in the key-value storage device, manage a transaction related to the key-value object and the key-value operation and provide the transaction to the key-value storage device, and abstract the file or the directory into a meta-object or a data object.
