Summary:An infrastructure management system and method for identifying risk potentials within the infrastructure or for the infrastructure, wherein a dedicated sensor system for identifying risk potentials is provided within the infrastructure or for the infrastructure; wherein a gateway (for example an interface), is provided that is configured to receive sensor values that originate from sensors of mobile devices that are temporarily located within the infrastructure or within a defined range (radius) from the infrastructure; wherein a processing unit (for example a server) is provided that is configured to receive the sensor values that are reported by the dedicated sensor system and is configured to receive the sensor values of the mobile devices that are provided by the gateway and further configured to analyze the received sensor values in order to identify risk potentials for the infrastructure or within the infrastructure.
