Abstract | Studies have consistently shown that the better patients are monitored the higher the recovery and survival rates. Due to legal & technical constraints, high quality monitoring of patients has been limited to hospitals and other care facilities. However, with the aide of the systems disclosed herein, high quality patient monitoring can be extended outside of these care facilities and thereby further increase recovery and survival rates in patients not confined to healthcare facilities. This is particularly relevant in the monitoring and treatment of chronic illnesses, for example with cancer treatment. |
