Abstract | To provide a man-machine interface for an automobile that can easily access many functions and requires a slight space demand.SOLUTION: A man-machine interface for an automobile includes a select surface 42 and an operation surface 43 that are separated from each other. The operating method includes the steps of recognizing a touch on any touch point 46 of the operation surface 43; detecting the number of fingers touching the select surface 42; and making one switch surface 48.1-48.5 that is connected to the touch point and allows input correspond to the any touch point 46 of the operation surface 43. One function selected in accordance with the number of fingers touching at least one select surface is made to correspond to the switch surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3c |
