Abstract The present invention relates to an anti-reflective coating for an optical substrate. The anti-reflective coating is an amorphous fluoropolymer containing at least one functionalized repeating unit selected from a.) -[CF2CF(OCF2CF(CF3)OCF2CF2CH2Z)]-, wherein Z can be -OH, -OP(-O)(OH)2, and -OC(-O)NH2, and b.) -[CH2CH(OR1)]-, wherein R1 is at selected from H and -C(-O)R2. The functionalized repeating unit increases the adhesion of the amorphous fluoropolymer to the substrate.
