Abstract An apparatus for reducing noise in an input periodic signal includes a delay circuit which produces a second periodic signal that corresponds to the input periodic signal, delays first frequency components of the second periodic signal that are below a predetermined threshold, and outputs, without substantial delay, second frequency components of the second periodic signal that are above the predetermined threshold. Another circuit removes the second frequency components from the input periodic signal.
