Abstract A scintillation device including a silicon plate having a rectangular shape and having a first side and a second side opposite the first side, wherein the first side includes a plurality of first channels arranged to be in parallel with each other extending in a first direction, wherein walls in the silicon plate that form the first channels are coated with an optically reflective or dielectric layer, and wherein the first channels are filled with a scintillation resin in a solid state forming a first waveguide.
