Abstract Methods and systems are provided for clinicians in a medical environment to remotely assess the status of an asset without physically going to the specific place where the asset is located. By using sensors and special purpose rooms, the methods and systems provide an accurate view of what is going on with the asset. Furthermore, the methods and systems can be extrapolated to a patient's status (knowing if the patient is asleep or awake, or when the patient wakes up post anesthesia-this would imply that the patient wears a tag).
